The Days of Sanctuary
A work in which a ball-jointed doll is laid down by arranging tree roots and moss brought from hometown Miyazaki. Two painting of women are placed on the left and right. Their opened and closeed mouths symbolize the birth and death of all things.
The "Fujiya Gallery", built in 1902, was used as a long-established inn "Fujiya Ryokan" until 1996. These works match space that retains the atmosphere of the Meiji era.
